Gestures of Love: "At-Home" Ministry Project

Recently I have been working on an “at-home” art project for my ministry communities here in NYC. This project asks participants to either:

  1. Affirm someone that has supported and loved you well during this time of quarantine, and draw a portrait of them

    ~or~

  2. Reflect on the ways you have supported and loved someone in your life well during this time and draw a portrait of them…

    or both!!

Community bulletin board where participants can share their projects:

This project is not only for my ministry communities— this is open to anyone and everyone! I highly encourage everyone to participate; if not through drawing, then at least through personal reflection on the support you have received from another person, and the support you have given to others. Maybe you can journal about your experience with that person. Maybe write a song. Or take a photo. Whatever your “medium” is, use it to bring light into another person’s life that may desperately need it.
